Owners Dee Henry, Sam Davis and Krys Davis bring Metroplex Adventure Boot Camp an arsenal of health and fitness experience and education. For over 4 years Dee, Sam & Krys have trained THOUSANDS of women and men through their boot camp fitness workouts. They have been recognized by fitness industry leaders as one of the top boot camp programs in the nation. These 3 professionals have appeared on CBS, NBC, Fox and other media outlets to provide consumers with the tools for living a life of fitness and wellness (Click "In The News"). Adventure Boot Camp maintains the highest standards for training, education and safety. We are the only fitness boot camp which is backed by an international educational and certifying body in the fitness industry. The National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) is NOCA certified and endorses and approves Adventure Boot Camp.
Dee Henry (Owner & Fort Worth University Instructor)
Dee was a student-athlete at Angelo State University where he graduated in 2002 with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in sociology. His professional background includes starting as a personal trainer before becoming a General Manager for a well known health club. Dee is also a certified Adventure Boot Camp coach. In Dee's off time he enjoys spending time with his son and being active in outdoor activies such as...ALL sports, fishing, etc. He is dedicated to helping his clients understand the potential they have to live a healthier and more fulfilled life that will also impact the lives of others around them!
Sam Davis is a NESTA Certified Adventure Boot Camp Instructor, NESTA Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Sports Nutritionist. Sam began coaching a little league baseball team at age 18 sparking his interest in teaching others his passion for sports and healthy living. He studied Kinesiology as a student athlete on the Angelo State University football team. As a husband, father and fitness professional, Sam is passionate about fitness and helping others get in the best shape of their lives-- to live a longer, healthier life.
Krystal "Krys" Davis is a NESTA Certified Adventure Boot Camp coach, SCW certified Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist, CrossFit Running & Endurance Specialist, NESTA certified Personal Trainer and Weight Management Specialist. Krys studied sports medicine at the University of Oklahoma and was a student athletic trainer for the University's sports teams before starting her career. Krys has also managed and worked with fitness facilities like Curves and 24-Hour Fitness. As a mother, wife, Christian and Mompreneur, Krys understands how important it is to juggle family, business and personal responsibilities. She says "Boot Camp is the perfect opportunity for any woman or mother to establish a healthy fitness routine, and get a beautifully toned body. "I love how much more energy boot camp gives me and all of the campers."
Ben Carter is a physical fitness enthusiast and NESTA certified Adventure Boot Camp trainer. He has experience in both personal training with Bally's and training women through boot camp. Ben received his BA in Criminal Justice from Alcorn State University where he played college football. He continued his passion for football in the Arena Football League (AFL2) for 3 years. Ben is a firm believer that to change the body you have to, "train the mind, body and soul." Ben loves spending time playing video games, enjoying outdoor activities with his young son.
Greg Walls is a NESTA certified Adventure Boot Camp trainer, NASM CPT, Cooper Institute CPT, and a Youth Fitness Specialist. Greg earned his Bachelors of Science in Education from TexasChristianUniversity. He has also spent time as a teacher and collegiate football coach where he spent some time assisting with strength and conditioning programs. His attitude, dedication, and passion for fitness and increased performance help him to excel and lead others toward their individual goals. His background in athletics and college coaching allows him to help others remain focused and discipline while working toward a happy and healthy lifestyle.
Marlon Lewis is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as well as a Performance
Enhancement Specialist. He is actively seeking education through fitness because he believes, "You can never learn enough." Marlon grew up playing competitive baseball for many years and has continued his passion for fitness through several other sports such as dance and bodybuilding. He is an experienced personal trainer with over 3000 sessions serviced and has trained professional and olympic athletes. Marlon is also an award winning choreographer and has taught students of all ages. His talents have been featured in tv commercials/videos and he has worked with some of the top choreographers and dancers in the industry. In his spare time, he enjoys bmx bike riding and spending time outdoors. His family is his heart and Christ is his savior. Marlon believes, "Health and fitness is not a habit, but a way of life."
John Spencer Ellis has been a fitness educator for over 14 years. In this time, he has trained over 2,000 clients and 40,000 fitness professionals.
The combination of John's formal education, practical experience and fun approach to exercise, have made his camps very exciting and popular.

John has been involved with health and fitness since the age of twelve and has become one of the most diversely trained fitness professionals in the United States. He holds two bachelors degrees; one in business and the other in health science, an MBA, and a doctorate in education. He has more than fifteen certifications, which include being a certified massage therapist, plyometric instructor, self-defense instructor, fitness kick boxing instructor, water fitness instructor, exercise rehabilitation specialist, golf conditioning specialist, Pilates instructor, personal trainer, clinical hypnotherapist, master PACE circuit training instructor, and yoga instructor. John has a 2nd degree black belt in kung-fu, has completed the Ironman triathlon and finished 5th in the U.S. National Biathlon (run/bike) Championships. He has extensive training in mind-body fitness and alternative health. John is the author of "How Badly Do you Want It? - Your Ultimate Guide to Optimal Fitness," a contributor to "Power of Champions," and the Fitness Editor of OC Flair magazine. His fitness articles and interviews have been featured in over 30 publications, and he is a frequent consultant to the world's media on health, fitness and lifestyle topics.
In addition, John is on the Advisory Board for the American Association of Personal Trainers and is a Fellow of the National Board of Fitness Examiners. He oversees operations at his facilities; Spencer Escape Fitness Resort and Spencer Wellness Center, both located in CA.
